Live performance photography is probably my favourite aspect of what I do as a photographer! I love working to capture the feel of a performance; I love the challenge of taking photos in unique performance spaces; and above all I love having the opportunity to collaborate with creative individuals!
My work in this area has taken me all over the city, including to well known Bristol organisations and venues such as St George's Bristol, Bristol Folk Festival and Travelling Light Theatre Company. But no performance is too small! I've also photographed work-in-progress performances at Circomedia, free lunchtime concerts in a small Bedminster church and a single launch in the most unexpected of venues: The Illustrate Cafe in the back room of their Park Street shop!
I specialise in live music photography, but also have experience with theatre and performance art, and am available for bookings for any kind of live performance or rehearsal. I quote each project individually, based on duration and working conditions, so please get in touch if you would like a quote!
NOTAFLOF stands for No One Turned Away For Lack of Funds. I need to make a living out of my work, but I try to live by this principle as much as possible. If you'd really, really love some photographs of a rehearsal or upcoming performance but are struggling for funding, please get in touch with me; tell me a little bit about your situation and we can work together to try and figure out a payment solution!
